As a class project I was assigned two random letters from which to create a monogram logo for a fictitious company. My letters were R and J. From this prompt, I envisioned creating a logo for a vintage clothing company presenting the style of the 1920's called, Revolution Jazz. I sought to borrow elements from Art Deco fonts as well as maintain a rounded form as a play on the word "revolution;" the final logo solution is presented above. Below are four pages of sketches drawn during the ideation process.
