The Grand is a multifaceted nightclub and bar in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. A class assignment prompted me to develop a multimedia, monochromatic promotional poster for an area of interest, and I chose The Grand as my place due its eclectic atmosphere and mysterious allure. For the poster, I used acrylic and spray paint to create the background, highlighting The Grand's mystifying ambiance and its affinity for odd light fixtures. The title is composed of a font I created to capture the whimsy of the place and I cut it out of white cardstock. Also cut from white cardstock is a crow's skull I drew with ink, representing the abundance of odd décor seen throughout the building.
